SHE is known for her excessive partying all around the globe but heiress Paris Hilton decided to teetotal her way through New Year’s Eve in Sydney.

But she still had a smile on her face - especially for raking in a reported $600,000 for just over two hours to attend the party. Hilton partied her way into the New Year at the Bongo Virus party but was not seen with a drink from the time she arrived at 11pm.

Dressed in a vintage Versace dress, the heiress took to the stage of the Piano Room soiree with her posse and showed the celebrity-laden crowd her dirty dance moves.

Doing her best not to think about her recent breakup with Benji Madden, Paris Hilton was spotted out with punk rock chick Avril Lavigne at Villa Lounge last night (November 21).

The “House of Wax” cutie looked to be having a good time with the “Hot” singer, looking cute in a black, yellow, and grey dress with a yellow headband, while Lavigne rocked a multicolored hoodie.

“Sadly, it’s true,” Vanessa Fontana, a contestant on Paris‘ BFF show, confirms to Life & Style. “Paris and Benji have split. I love Paris, and I just want her to be happy. I think that they’ll be better as friends.”

Vanessa disputed rumors that the split had anything to do with Paris’ brief reunion with ex Stavros Niarchos this past weekend in Miami. “No, nobody else is involved,” she says. “Paris and Benji were loyal and faithful to each other. I was with Paris in Miami, and Stavros came over to our table, and the two of them talked for literally two minutes. It was a friendly conversation. They definitely did not hook up.”
