The Disney Channel's head honcho says the company isn't letting go of its global ratings winner anytime soon.
Fear not, Hannah Montana fans! Despite rumors to the contrary, the Disney Channel series is here to stay...at least for the time being.
Us reports that the cable network has ordered more episodes of the Miley Cyrus-starrer to air during its current, third season.
Disney Channels Worldwide president Gary Marsh said today, "The talent behind Hannah Montana has made it a true global sensation and cultural icon not just on television, where it topped the ratings on Disney Channels around the globe, but as a chart-topping music act and beyond."
He pointed out that among children from ages 6 to 11, Hannah Montana is the top basic cable program.
"I am staying with the show," Miley, 16, said in October. "We have a really good time…as much as it's really hard work…it's really great.”
Cyrus co-stars on Hannah Montana with her father Billy Ray, 47, and recent Dancing with the Stars contestant Cody Linley, 19.
