The Transformers beauty - who is dating former Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green - beat screen sirens like Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson to take the No 1 spot in the Fandango.com poll.The survey asked film fans which stars would have them rushing out to see movies in 2009.
Megan, 22, will be seen on the silver screen in Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen and Jennifer's Body next year.
Jessica Alba, who will be seen in An Invisible Sign Of My Own in 2009, came second and Scarlett Johansson, whose action drama The Spirit opens in January, came third.
Charlize Theron was third and Salma Hayek was fifth in the Top 10 Sexiest Women In 2009 Movies list.
Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman and Halle Berry rounded out the Top 10.
